A Seneca Falls man is facing multiple misdemeanor charges following a shoplifting investigation at a local business.
According to the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department, officers arrested 44-year-old Darrell Wright on Saturday after he allegedly took merchandise from a store without paying and left the premises.
Police say Wright was taken into custody following the incident and charged with petit larceny, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, and false personation.
Authorities allege that Wright also provided false identifying information during the investigation.
Wright was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charges at a later date in Seneca Falls Town Court.
As with all criminal cases, the charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
