Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that deputies arrested a Seneca Falls man following a domestic dispute in the Town of Seneca Falls.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies arrested 24-year-old Jamison Davis on charges of criminal contempt in the first degree and aggravated family offense, both felonies, as well as endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, and harassment, a violation.
Investigators say the arrest stems from a domestic incident in which Davis allegedly placed a juvenile in a chokehold while violating an active order of protection that was in place to protect the child. Authorities report the juvenile was not injured during the incident. Medical attention was offered but declined by both the juvenile and the parent.
Davis is scheduled to appear in Seneca County CAP Court
The Waterloo Police Department assisted deputies during the incident.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
