A Seneca Falls man was arrested on Tuesday on an outstanding bench warrant issued out of Town of Seneca Falls Court.
The warrant was issued after John Brignall allegedly failed to appear in court on drug-related charges, which included one count of criminal possession of a forged instrument, one count of criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Seneca Falls Police say at the time of his arrest, Brignall was allegedly found to be in possession of a controlled substance and was subsequently charged. The 46-year-old was also charged with bail jumping.
Following his arrest, Brignall was transported to the Seneca Falls Police Department for processing and then turned over to the Seneca County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
