A Seneca Falls man was arrested on Wednesday following an investigation by the Seneca Falls Police Department.
Richard Wollek is accused of stealing merchandise from a local business. After being taken into custody, the 47-year-old was charged with petit larceny. During the investigation, officers found Wollek was allegedly violating an order of protection. He was charged with criminal contempt.
Wollek was brought to the Seneca County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
