An attempt by the Seneca Falls Police Department to serve an Order of Protection on Saturday resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old Seneca Falls man.
According to police, Seth Taylor answered the door of the protected party and was unlawfully in the residence, which violated a Stay-Away Order of Protection.
Taylor was charged with criminal contempt and was brought to the Seneca County Jail to await arraignment.
Taylor will be back in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
