UPDATE: Pisano was arrested by Seneca Falls Police late Tuesday morning after he allegedly drove to the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department to acquire information about his arrest last night. Pisano, who does not have a valid New York State license, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator, uninspected motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle and uninsured motor vehicle.
A Seneca Falls man was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration after taking off on foot during a traffic stop Monday night.
Police were alerted to be on the lookout for a U-Haul truck at around 10 o’clock after it left a home in Seneca County with property inside that was allegedly stolen. The truck was later spotted traveling south on Bridge Street in Seneca Falls. After police pulled the truck over, John Pisano got out of the driver’s side door wearing a ski mask and took off on foot leading police on a chase behind houses and through the woods. Pisano was eventually placed into custody.
Pisano, who was also with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation was released on an appearance ticket. The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the initial theft complaint.
Seneca Falls Police were assisted by the Village of Waterloo Police Department, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, and the New York State Police during the incident.
