Two Seneca Falls residents were arrested after allegedly attempting to obstruct a visit from Seneca County Child Protective Services.
Despite being presented with a judge-issued order permitting CPS and police to access their home, Passion Edwards and Marquise Hatten reportedly refused to allow them inside. Once inside, Edwards allegedly became verbally aggressive and resisted arrest as officers attempted to take her into custody for obstructing the visit. Hatten is accused of intervening and also resisting arrest.
Hatten and Edwards were charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. They are scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
