Seneca County Man Arrested for Child Endangerment and Unlawful Imprisonment

SHARE NOW

A Waterloo man was arrested Sunday after allegedly injuring a six-year-old child during a domestic incident.

27-year-old Jason Kahler was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Unlawful Imprisonment, and Harassment. Deputies say the child’s mother called 911, reporting that Kahler had grabbed her daughter by the face. When deputies arrived, they found the child shaken and with bruising on her face.

Investigators say Kahler had also restrained the child and restricted her movement during the incident. He wasn’t at the scene when police arrived, but was later located in Seneca Falls and taken into custody without incident.

Kahler was held at the Seneca County Correctional Facility and is scheduled to appear in CAP Court.

The investigation is ongoing.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
