The investigation into a reported medical emergency occurring in a driveway at a residence in the town of Scipio resulted in the arrest of a Scipio woman.
Upon arrival, Cayuga County Sheriff’s Deputies determined there was no medical emergency, however, 30-year-old Andrea O’Connell, was unlawfully at this address in an alleged violation of a full stay-away order of protection.
O’Connell was charged with criminal contempt and released on an appearance ticket.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
