A Cayuga County man is facing charges for allegedly recording an unclothed child.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Benjamin Tyrrell was arrested Wednesday following an investigation that alleges the 36-year-old Scipio Center man secretly recorded a child who was unclothed and unaware that they were being recorded.
Tyrrell was charged with Unlawful Surveillance, a felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor. Sheriff Brian Schenck adds that, due to bail reform, he was released following his arraignment. Tyrrell is due back in Scipio Town Court at a later date.
