SHARE NOW

A Montour Falls man is accused of committing a daytime burglary in Schuyler County.

State Police responded to 105 Washington Street in the village of Montour Falls Sunday afternoon for a report of a burglary in progress. An investigation determined Robert Stevens allegedly entered the home through forced entry by a window. As Troopers cleared the home, they located Stevens inside.

The 31-year-old was charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor petit larceny. Stevens was brought to Schuyler County Jail for CAP arraignment.

State Police were assisted by the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
