Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports the arrest of a Savannah man following separate investigations in Waterloo and Romulus.
Deputies say 38-year-old Kevin Himes was taken into custody on September 27th in the Town of Junius. He is charged with petit larceny and three felony counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Investigators say the charges stem from incidents in which Himes allegedly stole $229 worth of merchandise from the Lowe’s in Waterloo while driving a vehicle with a fictitious license plate. In a later, unrelated incident in Romulus, deputies say Himes was found with two additional forged plates after driving into a residence.
Himes was transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center and later turned over to the correctional facility to await arraignment in CAP Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
