The investigation by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office into a complaint on Friday resulted in the arrest of a Rushville man.
It is alleged that Matthew Healy subjected a child under the age of 17 to multiple incidents of threatening behavior and other inappropriate situations.
The 45-year-old Healy was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and brought to the Yates County Jail to await CAP arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
