The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies arrested a Romulus woman following a traffic stop in the Town of Fayette earlier this week.
On September 7 at around 4:30 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle for a moving violation and identified the driver as Sara Dove, of Romulus. During the stop, deputies learned Dove had an active bench warrant out of Seneca County and took her into custody.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of syringes containing suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl, according to Sheriff Tim Thompson. Dove was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, both misdemeanors.
She was transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center in Romulus for CAP Court proceedings.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
