Romulus Man Charged With Animal Cruelty

SHARE NOW

A Romulus man is charged with animal cruelty after allegedly leaving a dog outside on a chain for approximately nine hours unattended in frigid temperatures without adequate shelter or water to drink.

36-year-old Joshua Haggerty was charged with failure to provide proper sustenance for an animal and was released on an appearance ticket.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office did not provide an update on the dog’s condition and if it remained with Haggerty.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
