A Rochester woman will appear in Junius Town Court after police say she caused an accident at the intersection of State Route 318 and Nine-Foot Road.
An investigation determined Karen Martz passed several cars on the right at a high rate of speed when she struck a car traveling through the intersection driven by a 17-year-old from Phelps. Martz and her passenger were taken to Geneva General Hospital for treatment of leg injuries.
Martz was ticketed for unsafe passing and failure to maintain her lane.
