Rochester Woman Arrested After Knife Attack in Canandaigua

SHARE NOW

A Rochester woman is facing felony charges after allegedly injuring another person with a knife during an argument in Canandaigua.

According to the Canandaigua Police Department, 39-year-old Sarah King was arrested on July 6 and charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say the incident happened at a residence in the city, where King is accused of causing multiple lacerations to the victim during a dispute. The injured person was treated at Thompson Hospital.

King was taken into custody, processed, and transported to the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment in CAP Court.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
