A Rochester man was arrested Wednesday by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office on multiple charges stemming from the investigation into an incident that happened on January 18th in Phelps.
Jarod Thompson is accused of failing to comply with deputies as they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, driving in a reckless manner. At the time of the incident, Thompson was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, reckless driving, inadequate exhaust, and failure to comply.
On Wednesday, he was charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer and obstructing governmental administration.
Thompson was brought to the Ontario County Jail and was released on appearance tickets for Phelps Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
