A Rochester man is facing felony charges after a violent incident at Watkins Glen International.
Deputies say 33-year-old Gregory Harvey used a knife during a dispute, causing serious injury. He’s charged with first-degree assault, weapon possession, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Harvey was arraigned and is being held in the Schuyler County Jail on $40,000 cash bail.
The sheriff’s office says the case remains under investigation, but stresses this was an isolated incident and there’s no threat to race fans.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
