A Rochester man is facing charges in Wayne County after his car collided with a parked car on Ridge Road in Williamson.
Shortly after two o’clock Monday morning, Richard Freitas was driving east when he struck a parked car. The 56-year-old Rochester man was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing and refused to submit to chemical tests. Freitas was charged with driving while intoxicated and issued other vehicle-traffic citations.
Freitas was brought to the Wayne County Jail to await CAP arraignment. He will appear in Williamson Town Court at a later date to answer the charge
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
