A Rochester man suffered minor injuries in a single-car rollover accident Saturday afternoon, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say 28-year-old William Frechette was driving his Dodge Avenger southeast on Brace Road when he veered off the western shoulder, striking two utility poles before the vehicle rolled over and came to rest.
Deputies determined that Frechette was allegedly driving under the influence at the time of the crash. He was transported to Thompson Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Frechette was issued tickets for Driving While Intoxicated and speeding and was released on an appearance ticket for East Bloomfield Town Court.
Bryce Road was temporarily closed Saturday while crews repaired the damaged utility poles.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
