A Rochester man has been arrested following an investigation into a reported stalking incident.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says 26-year-old Jahkeer Young, of Brookdale Park in Rochester, was taken into custody on Wednesday, August 20. He is charged with fourth-degree stalking and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Deputies allege Young caused damage to the victim’s vehicle and placed the victim in reasonable fear for their safety.
Young was released and is scheduled to appear in Farmington Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
