A 21-year-old Rochester man was arrested Tuesday morning by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office at the Geneva Police Department on an active bench warrant.
The warrant was issued for Nasir Carr out of the Town of Geneva after he allegedly failed to appear on charges of petit larceny and conspiracy. Carr was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ontario County Jail where he was held for pre-arraignment detention.
Carr will return to Geneva Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
