A Rochester man was brought to the Ontario County Jail after being picked up on an active arrest warrant issued out of Hopewell Town Court.
The warrant for Edwin Flores, Junior, was issued for offering a false instrument for filing, and stemmed from an investigation into unemployment fraud dating back to 2021 at the Ontario County Department of Social Services.
The 47-year-old Flores was brought to Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
