The investigation into a domestic violence incident in Ontario County on New Year’s Night resulted in the arrest of a Rochester man.
Willie Kendrick is accused of punching a woman in the face at the Mobil gas station in Victor Monday night causing the victim to suffer an injury. When deputies arrived on the scene, Kendrick and his alleged victim had left. An hour later, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department requested the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office respond to the Woodcliff Hotel in Victor where Kendrick and the victim were staying after receiving a 911 call for a domestic incident.
Kendrick was charged with assault and brought to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
The victim was taken to Rochester General Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
