Three months after a suspicious fire, a Steuben County man has been charged with felony arson.
James Lisefski of Prattsburgh is accused of intentionally damaging a building by starting a fire that according to investigators recklessly created a substantial risk of injury to others. The fire happened in the town of Howard. In addition to the felony arson charge, the 43-year-old Lisefski was charged with reckless endangerment.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in its investigation by the Corning Police Department and the county’s Fire Investigation Team.
