The charges against 29-year-old Austin Bierce stem from an alleged domestic incident that occurred on Sunday. Bierce is accused of getting into a physical altercation with a woman, in which he began choking her and refusing to let her go. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the woman had to resort to using pepper spray to get free. The entire incident is alleged to have occurred in front of two children.

Bierce, of Baldwinsville, is charged with criminal contempt, aggravated family offense, unlawful imprisonment, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, harassment, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Following his arraignment, Bierce was sent to Wayne County Jail without bail.
