Police have arrested a Wayne County man after they say he attempted to sell a car that did not belong to him.
It is alleged that 58-year-old Joseph McCarthy, of Marion, attempted to sell the car after writing over the windshield with shoe polish following a domestic incident.
McCarthy was charged with attempted grand larceny and criminal tampering and was brought to the Wayne County Jail to await arraignment.
