With the help of a K9 unit and drone team, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office took a Rochester man into custody early Saturday morning.
The charges against John Leslie stem from a domestic incident that occurred where he is accused of repeatedly striking a woman, dragging her to the ground, smashing her phone so she was unable to call 9-1-1 and strangling her. By the time police arrived at the residence in Arcadia, Leslie had fled the scene but was ultimately found by the K9 unit and drone team.
Leslie was brought to the Wayne County Jail to await arraignment on charges of assault, harassment, strangulation, and two counts of criminal mischief
