Police arrested a Penn Yan man over the weekend after he was allegedly found to have a rifle in his car at a school event in Seneca Falls.
76-year-old Gary Shoff was taken into custody on Saturday on a felony charge of criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds. Police say at no time was the rifle displayed at anyone and no threats were made.
Shoff will appear in Seneca Falls Town Court at a later date.
