On Wednesday, the Palmyra Police Department arrested Andrea Allen-Ascioti, 39, of Palmyra, following an investigation into an incident within the village.
An investigation revealed that Allen-Ascioti allegedly smoked marijuana with her 11-year-old child on multiple occasions at her Cuyler Street residence. She has been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Allen-Ascioti was transported to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment. She was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday to answer the charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
