Two people are facing felony charges after a summer incident in Auburn involving a stolen credit card.
Auburn Police allege that, on September 19, William Butler and Lindsey Bennett used a stolen credit card to purchase merchandise at the Kinney Drugs on Owasco Street – $110.45 and $262.44, respectively.
On December 23, the pair was arrested on outstanding warrants related to the incident and charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, a felony, and Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor. Both were taken to the county jail for arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
