A Newark man has a date in court after police say he struck another person with a skateboard following an altercation at the intersection of Finch and West Union streets in the Wayne County village.
Patrick Ahlers is also accused of hitting the same person’s car with the skateboard. The 27-year-old was charged with harassment and criminal mischief and will appear in village court later this month.
A stay-away order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
