A Newark man who was stopped by Geneva Police for driving almost 30 miles per hour over the 30 miles per hour speed limit in the Ontario County city at around 6 Wednesday morning was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
While officers spoke with Fernando Vazquez-Rodriguez, they observed an open container of alcohol in the immediate reachable area of the driver. It was later determined Vazquez-Rodriguez was driving a car with a Blood Alcohol Content of .24%.
Vazquez-Rodriguez was additionally charged with aggravated DWI.
The 40-year-old was released on an appearance ticket for Geneva City Court.
