A Bath man is facing a felony charge of criminal mischief after he allegedly smashed out the glass door of a Penn Yan business and went inside during the overnight hours.
Penn Yan Police responded to the Main Street business after receiving a complaint of a suspicious person who was naked and trying to make entry into businesses. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the window of an entry door to one business broken out and a significant amount of blood inside. Police say they found a bloody 26-year-old Ayden Decker inside. He was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
In addition to the felony criminal mischief charge, Decker was also charged with trespass and exposure.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
