A Canandaigua man was charged with criminal contempt following the investigation into a reported Order of Protection violation.
40-year-old Russell Linquist is accused of sending several text messages as well as a bouquet of flowers to a person who had a Stay Away Order of Protection against him.
Linquist was brought to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
