A local motorcyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being involved in a crash on Pittsford Victor Road in the town of Victor on Tuesday.
Latiaa Wynn, of Rochester, was driving a Ford Fusion in the northbound lane and was attempting to turn left into the Mobile Gas Station parking lot. Wynn is accused of entering the Route 96 Southbound lane while attempting to turn and failing to yield to a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle that was southbound. Its driver, Salvatore Cardinale, attempted to avoid Wynn by attempting to swerve around her car, which resulted in him losing control and being ejected from the motorcycle once it hit the ground.
The extent of injuries the 28-year-old Victor man suffered was not disclosed.
Wynn was not injured but was issued a ticket for failure to yield the right of way. She will answer the charge in Victor Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
