Police: Driver Ticketed After Falling Asleep, Causing Two-Car Crash

Two people were hurt after being involved in a two-car accident in Wayne County Saturday morning.

19-year-old Japheth Horning was driving northbound on State Route 414 in the village of Clyde when police say he fell asleep at the wheel. Horning crossed over into oncoming traffic, striking another car that was occupied by two people. The collision caused extensive damage to both cars and injuries to the other occupants.

Both the driver and passenger of the other car were taken to Strong by Ambulance for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

Horning was issued a ticket for the village of Clyde Court
