Police Charge Geneva Man Who Crashed Car Into Tree

Police say a Geneva man was driving under the influence of drugs when he crashed his car into a tree last night in Gorham.

An investigation determined Robert Michaels’ car went down an embankment and struck a tree after going off the west side of Kearney Road just before 10 o’clock. Michaels was sent to the hospital for a checkover.

Michaels was charged with DWAI and failure to keep right.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
