Police have arrested a Bath man who they say called 911 and hung up after requesting help for an officer who was down after gunshots were fired.
The call allegedly placed by 34-year-old Thomas Popps turned out to be made up. A number of law enforcement agencies responded to 46 West Steuben Street in the village after the dispatch initially went out.
Popps was charged with falsely reporting an incident and was released on an appearance ticket for Bath Village Court
