A traffic stop on Eastern Boulevard in the city of Canandaigua resulted in the arrest of a Canandaigua man.
During their investigation, police determined that Sean Rankin was in violation of a stay away order of protection as the driver was the protected party. Rankin was charged with aggravated family offense and criminal contempt.
The 57-year-old was brought to the Ontario County Jail for CAP Court.
