A Pittsford woman has been arrested in connection with the theft of more than $2,000 worth of cigarettes from a Palmyra gas station earlier this summer.
Palmyra Police say 31-year-old Elizabeth Paulson was taken into custody on Saturday night after officers worked with the Newark Police Department to locate her. She was transported to Wayne County Booking, processed, and held for CAP Court on an outstanding warrant.
The charges stem from a July investigation at the Marathon Gas Station on East Main Street. Police allege that Paulson, who was still in onboarding training as a new employee at the time, stole cartons of cigarettes valued at more than $2,000.
She is charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a Class E felony.
Palmyra Police thanked Newark Police for their assistance in making the arrest.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
