A Phelps woman is now facing charges in connection with an accident that happened on November 2nd in Wayne County.
Stephanie Cintron was injured after her car veered off the side of the road on Wood Lane in the village of Newark. Upon investigation into the cause of the crash by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Cintron was determined to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and had a .15% BAC.
Cintron turned herself in on Tuesday and was charged with DWI Common Law, DWI .08 BAC or higher, moving from lane unsafely and speeding.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
