A Phelps man was arrested on Thursday after a traffic stop led to the discovery of illegal drugs.
Authorities say 37-year-old Jordan Wilson was pulled over by the Road Patrol, who noticed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A subsequent search uncovered fentanyl and crack cocaine packaged for sale.
Wilson was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and speeding in a zone. He was arraigned at Centralized Arraignment Court and released on his own recognizance.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
