20-year-old Hassan Mberwa, of Ambridge, and 18-year-old Ibarhim Mganga are alleged to selected $63 in merchandise before passing all points of sales at Macy’s without making payment.
Mganga had been previously banned from all Macy’s stores following a 2024 incident in Ross Park, PA, and was therefore charged with burglary and larceny. He was taken to Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
Mberwa was released on an appearance ticket for Victor Town Court to answer his petit larceny charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
