Penn Yan Woman Ticketed After Two-Car Crash

A Penn Yan woman was ticketed by police following a two-car accident on Ferguson Corners Road in Potter.

At around six Monday night, Keisha Hilkert told police she was driving west when she looked down at her passenger seat and lost control of her car. She then crossed over into the eastbound lane and struck a car driven by Oliver Oswald, of Penn Yan. The impact sent Oswald’s car off the road on the south side and came to rest in a ditch.

Both drivers were checked over at the scene and cleared.

Hilkert was ticketed for failure to keep right.

Middlesex Ambulance and Rushville Firefighters assisted the Yates County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
