Charges have been filed against a Penn Yan woman stemming from a fight in progress that occurred at an Elm Street business in the village last weekend.
As Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene they were advised one car had fled the scene. A traffic stop on that vehicle was conducted a short time later. Deputies say as they were conducting their investigation, Saxxon Moore, who was not in the vehicle, approached it and became involved in an argument with the passenger. The verbal argument escalated when Moore allegedly began to repeatedly strike the passenger in the face. She was subsequently taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction.
Moore will appear in Penn Yan Village Court.
