The investigation into a domestic incident complaint resulted in the arrest of a 38-year-old Penn Yan woman.
When officers arrived on scene in the village of Penn Yan, they interviewed witnesses who claimed Angelina Vogt-Anthony committed unwanted physical contact to another village resident in front of a child. It is also alleged that when police attempted to place the 38-year-old into custody, she physically resisted and refused to cooperate with police.
Vogt-Anthony was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, disorderly conduct, and harassment. Following her arrest, Vogt-Anthony was brought to Yates County Jail to await CAP arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
