Penn Yan Police report the arrest of 32-year-old Erika Haight of Penn Yan on charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Fourth-Degree Criminal Mischief.
Authorities say the incident occurred during a domestic dispute in the village, where Haight allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with another resident while children were present. When officers arrived, Haight had been removed from the residence and reportedly suffered injuries while attempting to force her way back inside.
Haight was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
