A Penn Yan woman was arrested by the Penn Yan Police Department following a report of a larceny at Aldi.
It is alleged that Sandra Shriver stole items that were not scanned at the self-checkout station in excess of $170.00. Shriver was taken into custody on a petit larceny charge and processed at the police department.
Shriver was released on an appearance ticket for Penn Yan village court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
